The Lodge

We spent the first weekend out of school with some friends at the Laketown Lodge. It was so nice of Adam and Eve to have us up there. We had so much fun despite the cold weather. The kids got along so well! It really made it nice for us to relax. We traded in the beach for horseback riding and had a wonderful time. Brinkley, Sam and Avery were able to go on a long ride up the trail. The younger girls were able to ride horses around the corral and feed the horses. Everyone had a good time. We are still waiting for some summer weather!

We love the sun. I am done with the snow.

Apparently, I didn't do something right, but I wanted to

add a little writing before the pictures. Instead-

We love to vacation. Who doesn't? Every spring we head south

to enjoy a little of the sun that they keep down there. We love to

relax, eat our favorite foods, swim and go hiking. One of the

highlights of this trip was our shuffle board game. Who knew? The

kids had so much fun. They both have more skill than I do. Matt

described it as one of those mormon commercials of the family. I

also love the little picnic hike we take. It is so beautiful. We used

to go tothe same place when I was a kid. The girls ran and climbed

every rock. Even Avy hiked most of it by herself. As I post this,

I look out the windowand see snow. I think I am living

in the wrong location!

The Guys

Avy is a big fan of "the guys." Until about 3 wks ago her sisters didn't have names. For example, if Avy wanted Cam to come and play, she would say, "come ere guy." A little bit of a sad moment as she drops the guys for issers named sam and binky.

Seriously. I have issues.

So, apparently, I have been trying to learn to blog for 6 months. Timeline as follows: Meg set up my blog in June '08. Yeah, that was last year. In November my cousins helped put on the holiday background (yes, it is still a Christmas background. In my defense I tried to change it today, but cutest blog was down. ) In December my friends added the top picture. Thanks to all those who have contributed to the creation. It has taken me a little while to figure out how to add the above picture! I am technolgically deficient. This was further brought to my attention yesterday as I was buying a new cell phone for myself. I asked the guy which phone was the easiest to use and told him I didn't want to worry about all that texting business. I wanted a phone that I could figure out how to call someone with ease. He then said, "Aren't you only like twenty-five or something." I am older than 25, but he was mocking me for my lack of skills. He then told me to take it as a complement because he thought that I was actually 25 or younger. Thanks for the compliment! Anyway, I decided I needed to get me some skills. So here is my first attempt at the blog post. Hopefully I don't delete it all before I get it to my blog.
